The Vivaz is probably the best camera phone on the market today if that is indeed the most important feature you are looking for in a phone. That is not to say that it is not match “tit for tat” any other smart phone out there. The camera phone comes with a 850 MHz processor and a dedicated graphics accelerator PowerVR SGX. The GPS feature also brings in the geo-tagging ability of the phone.
But getting down to business: the viewfinder works great and brings forth on the right side column with five shortcuts. They handle Scenes, Shoot mode, Focus settings, Exposure compensation and Auto mode. The settings menu gives you another set of customizable options. Those include self-timer, white balance, flash on/off, effects, image stabilizer and picture size.
The Touch capture feature works particularly well on this model of the camera phone as it allows you to simply tap on the viewfinder wherever you want the picture to be focused on.
The colors on this camera phone are rich and beautiful while the lines stay crisp. There isn’t much noise to speak of – of course keeping in mind still that this camera phone is a DSLR – and the detail level is as high as you could expect from even a 12 megapixel camera.
This camera phone also comes with two led flashes which work great and will enhance the quality of the high definition 720p movies it can take. And they are probably the best you could take rivaling most of the miniature high definition cameras phones on the market today. The camera phone provides a real 24 FPS recording and boasts continuous auto focus during filming which basically singles it out in the camera phones department rivaling once again the dedicated video cameras on the market.
